Producing Company

Unfit Productions

Unfit Productions was created in 2005 by Chris Westgate and others to take new writing to UK festivals, not least the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The first show, Fit Piece by Helen Shay which was well received by critics and audiences, starred Chris Westgate and Kate Fitzgerald.

UPUK was initially an informal group of like minded people, dedicated to new writing, accessibility and theatrical excellence and while this has now been formalized into a limited company we remain true to the original concept and our aims are to produce challenging, entertaining and thought provoking theatre based on excellence in new writing, acting and interpretation and to stage our productions at festivals and other venues as well as the traditional theatre. The three shareholder directors of UPUK are Chris Westgate, Tom Cobley, and Tony Earnshaw.

New Ways

New Ways is a London based charity focused on water and nutrition issues in sub Saharan Africa. New Ways works in partnership with local people with shared ownership of projects and a long term perspective. More sustainable water and nutrition projects would mean fewer crises of the sort we have seen this year. New Ways is run by volunteers and derives its funds from a mix of fund raising and agreements with grant making bodies.
